Bhubaneswar: Every drop of water is precious to us for the sake of future generations. For this, everyone has to conserve water, said Odisha Higher Education Minister Er. Rohit Pujari at a national level seminar titled “Save Water, Every Drop Matters” organized by Suryakhetra Foundation at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. In the seminar presided by Foundation Chairman Dr Bipinbihari Mishra, Additional Secretary of Forest, Environment and Climate Change department Manoranjan Mohapatra addressed the guests and participants as chief speaker. He advised the people to respect water resources to overcome water scarcity problems. Chairman, Kalinga Association for Protection of Culture and Heritage (KAPOCH) Sangram Keshari Paikaray attended the seminar as guest of honour. Others guests include Principal Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management Dr. Pramod Kumar Panda, DFO, City Forest Division, Bhubaneswar Ajit Kumar Satpathy, Odisha Environment Society Secretary Dr. Jayakrushna Panigrahi, spiritual leader Brahmakumari Aparna Behen, noted entrepreneur Suresh Kumar Choudhury and senior official of Maithon Power Limited Sandip Khedwal and Rabindra Kumar Rautray. On the occasion, the Paribesh Ratna Award was conferred on Er. Bipin Bihari Nayak, Professor Jayakrushna Panigrahi, Dr. Lingaraj Sahoo, Dr. Pramod Kumar Panda, Green World and Kapoch organization for their commitment to saving the environment.
